Are you someone with a keen interest in personal development and reflection? Are you able to ask activating coaching questions and make others feel heard? Are you great at creating structure and help students come up with a concrete study plan? This might be the job for you!
The Role
You will be working with students from the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and the fulltime and parttime Master of Science in Management programs. Your main job is to ensure that students have a good study experience and make good academic progress. You advise students on how best to plan their studies and provide them with the necessary tools to study as efficiently and effectively as possible, also during their thesis process. You support students with a learning difference like Dyslexia or AD(H)D. The campus life can be quite intense and students look to you for support and guidance. You help students find a good balance between studying and student life and help them navigate the day-to-day experiences of student life at Nyenrode. From an academic perspective, you monitor their study experience by critically examining study planning, procedures, regulations, and policy issues. You are an important sparring partner for management and for the Examination Board. For Examination Board casuistry, you provide advice to the Examination Board independent of program management, confidentially and from your expertise. You also take care of the administrative processing of the above. In this position, you collaborate closely with the other study coaches and the campus dean. Together with the other study coaches, you organize workshops on effective and efficient studying for all students.
Who are we?
Nyenrode is a small-scale private university, founded in 1946 by and for the business community, with an international orientation. We offer degree and executive education programs and conduct research in various fields. In the coming years, our strategic focus will be on achieving societal impact, shaping transformative education, and further strengthening our academic foundation. Our purpose, “Serving society by shaping responsible leaders,” underpins this.
Central to everything we do are our core values: Leadership, Entrepreneurship, and Stewardship. Do you identify with these values?
Working at Nyenrode means working on a wooded 13th-century estate with a castle in Breukelen. We also have a location on the Keizersgracht in the historic center of Amsterdam.
For this position, your main location will be in Breukelen, but you will also serve students in Amsterdam occasionally.
Who are you?
What do we have to offer?
We are a knowledge institute which is characterized by a personal, informal atmosphere and a professional approach. Result-oriented work methods and attention to personal development go hand in hand. You will be given the space to contribute to our objectives in your own way.
